Suspect Makes Off With Money, Cash Register In Wading River Deli Burglary

A suspect is at large after a Memorial Day burglary at a Long Island deli.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday, May 27 in Wading River.

The owner of the Nik's Nook Deli, located at 737 Hulse Landing Road, Wading River contacted the Riverhead Police Department to report a burglary in progress.

Patrol officers responded and discovered that an unknown person had broken the front door window and entered the building.

The suspect removed one of the cash registers and approximately $100.00 in cash, then left the area in an unknown direction.

The Riverhead Police Detective Division was notified and responded to further the investigation.
